How Italian Charm Bracelets Work
An Italian charm bracelet is a stretchy bracelet made of small steel squares, called links, that clip into each other. Every charm is one of those squares. That is the whole secret: you choose which squares go on your bracelet, and in which order.
Step 1: Measure your wrist

Wrap a measuring tape, or a thread, around your wrist bone. Mark where it meets and measure it on a ruler. Then add 2. That is how many links your bracelet needs.
| Wrist size | Links you need |
|---|---|
| 13 cm | 15 |
| 14 cm | 16 |
| 15 cm | 17 |
| 16 cm | 18 |
| 17 cm | 19 |
| 18 cm | 20 |
| 19 cm | 21 |
| 20 cm | 22 |
| 21 cm | 23 |
| 22 cm | 24 |
Not sure? 16 cm fits most wrists, which means 18 links. Each link is about 1 cm wide and 0.9 cm tall.
Step 2: Choose your charms

Pick charms that tell your story: letters for a name or initials, words you live by, an evil eye for luck, or flowers and animals just because they are cute.
You do not need to fill every link with a charm. Mix charms with plain silver, gold or rose gold links, or start with our starter set of 2 plain bracelets and add charms to it.
Step 3: We assemble it for you

Use the bracelet builder to place your charms in order. We clip them together by hand, free, so your bracelet arrives ready to wear.
Step 4: Wear it, change it any time

To swap a charm later, bend the bracelet gently so two links open at an angle. Slide the old charm out sideways and the new one in, then straighten the bracelet and it locks. The charm remover tool makes it even easier.
Caring for your bracelet
Our links are stainless steel and waterproof, and they will not turn your wrist green. Wipe them with a soft dry cloth to keep them shiny.
